The objectives of this project are:

  1. To develop a web-based application capable of classifying Pokémon images into three types: Grass, Fire, and Water using Django.
  2. To implement and apply Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) as image classification models.
  3. To compare the performance of CNN and KNN based on classification accuracy.
  4. To determine the most effective model for predicting Pokémon image classes.
  5. To provide users with clear prediction results and relevant information about the identified Pokémon type through an easy-to-use interface.

Predicting Product Image Quality in E-Commerce Using Deep Learning

This study applies Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) alongside baseline machine learning algorithms such as Support Vector Machines (SVM), XGBoost, and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) to predict the quality of product images in an e-commerce environment. In addition to accuracy, the study emphasizes computational efficiency, addressing the need to rapidly assess large volumes of images, as e-commerce platforms typically handle massive and continuously growing image datasets.

The research highlights the importance of providing practical image quality guidelines for C2C platforms, where image uploads are taken directly by users. The proposed approach aims to gives clear guidance for users that should impact to improve overall visual consistency, user trust, and purchasing decisions in online marketplaces.

The study was proposed for a Bachelor’s Degree at Al Azhar University of Indonesia in 2018.
